보충 _ 수여동사 (4형식 → 3형식)

 

 

'수여동사 + 사람 + 사물'의 4형식 문장은 '수여동사 + 사물 + 전치사[to(방향)/for(이익)/of(질문)] + 사람'의 3형식 문장으로 바꾸어 쓸 수 있다.

 

 

[전치사로 to를 사용하는 수여동사]

 ☞ give (주다), lend (빌려주다), offer (제공하다), send (보내다), bring (갖다 주다), show (보이다), sell (팔다), write (편지쓰다), pass (건네주다), teach (가르치다), hand (건네주다).. 등

 

 · 난 그녀에게 꽃 한송이를 줄거야.

  I will give her a flower.   →   I will give a flowe to her.

 

 · 오늘 밤 묵을 방을 하나 주시겠습니까?

  Are you able to offer me a room tonight?   →   Are you able to offer a room to me tonight? 

 · 나는 그녀에게 이메일을 보냈다.

  I sent her an e-mail.   →   I sent an e-mail to her.

 

 · 차 한 잔 갖다주세요.

  Bring me a cup of rea.   →   Bring a cup of tea to me.

 

 · 그는 나에게 한 권의 책을 보여주었다.

  He showed  me a book.   →   He showed a book  to me.

 

 · 그에게 내 차를 팔았다.

  I sold him my car.   →   I sold my car to him.

 

 · 어제 그는 나에게 편지를 보내왔다.

  He wrote me a letter yesterday.   →   He wrote a letter to me yesterday.

 

 · 케찹 좀 건네줄래?

  Could you pass me some ketchup?   →   Could you pass some ketchup to me?

 

 · 그는 운전자에게 시가지 지도를 건네주었다.

  Buy me the book.   →   Buy the book for me.

 

 · 너에게 새옷을 만들어 주겠다.

  I will make you a new suit.   →   I will make a new suit for me.

 

 · 그는 자신의 아이들에게 책들을 얻어 주었다.

  He got his children books.   →   He got books for his children.

 

 · 그들은 그 고아들에게 많은 사랑을 베풀었다.

  They do the orphans much love.   →   They do much love for the orphans.

 

 · 그녀에게 좋은 선물을 골라 주었다.

  I chose her a nice present.   →   I chose a nice present for her.

 

 · 그들은 그녀에게 약간의 음식을 남겨주었다.

  They saved her some food.   →   They saved some food for her.

 

 · 그녀는 부모님을 위해 저녁 식사를 준비했다.

  She cooked her parents dinner.   →   She cooked dinner for her parents.

 

 · 그는 환자에게 수면제를 주문해 주었다.

  He ordered the patient a sleeping pill.   →   He ordered a sleeping pill for the patient.

 

 

[전치사로 to/for 무두 가능한 수여동사]

 ☞ cause, fetch, left, get.. 등 [전치사에 다라 의미 달라라진다.]

 

 · 이 차는 나에게 많은 걱정을 주었다.

  This car has caused me a lot of troubles.   →   This car has caused a lot of troubles [to/for] me.

 

 · 그는 그녀에게 책을 [to] 단순히 주다. / [for] 구해다 주다.

  He got her a book.

   →   He got a book to her.  /  He got a book for her.

 

 · 우산 좀 갖다줘. [to] 내가 사용할때 / [for] 남이 사용할때
  Fetch me my umbrella.

   →   Fetch my umbrella to me.  /  Fetch my umbrella for me.

 · 그 사업가는 아내에게 많은 유산을 남겼다. [to] 아내의 몫  / [for] 아내가 아닌 타인의 몫

  The businessman left his wife a large fortune.

   →   The businessman left a large fortune to her.  /  The businessman left a large fortune for her.

 

 

[전치사로 of를 사용하는 수여동사]

 ☞ ask

 · 그에게 까닭을 물었다.

  I asked him the reason.   →   I asked the reason of him.

 

 

[전치사로 on/upon을 사용하는 수여동사]

 ☞ play

 · 그들은 나에게 장난을 쳤다.
